The Restaurant
Les Ducs is located it the Ivy Brodcasting building (now listed as a Natioanl Historic building) in the heart of Downtown Ithaca. With only 49 seats, Les Ducs is a comfortable, cozy Bistro with European flair. The hand-painted textured walls were designed by Santa Cruz artist David Orr, whose “Modiglianiesque” paintings adorn the walls. Come in and relax in a quiet corner banquette, or enjoy the bustle of the street from a prime window seat.
Chef Vierk
After training and working at fine restaurants across Manhattan, executive Chef Steven Vierk relocated to Ithaca for a more “local” life style. Like many of the fine wines that we offer at Les Ducs, Chef Vierk’s style of cooking reflects the notion of terroir. In true French fashion, we make everything from scratch in house, we try to use as many local and organic products as possible and we are intrinsically tied to seasonal availability and flavor.
